It is on this vast plain that all of humankind will be gathering in fulfilling the 5th pillar of Islam.Hence, the day of Arafah is crucial and synonymous to Hajj itself that the Prophet s.a.w.
This landmark sermon left a lasting message for humanity. After the sunrise on this blessed day, millions of pilgrims set out for the plain of Arafat, also known as Mount Arafat… A particularly sacred dua is;“SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil Adheem” (Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him). The Day of Arafah (Arabic: يوم عرفة , romanized: Yawm ‘Arafah) is an Islamic holiday that falls on the 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah of the lunar Islamic Calendar. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evils that come with the wind". Day of Arafah is a Day of Perfection Imam at-Tirmidhi said, ‘The people of knowledge consider it recommended to fast on the day of ‘Arafah, except for those at Arafat’.Furthermore, not only fasting on the Day of Arafah is the highest form of worship, which is further made rewarding considering the importance of the day, it is also a Sunnah. The Prophet (SAW) said: The best invocation is that of the Day of Arafat, and the best that anyone can say is what I and the Prophets before me have said: لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ ولَهُ الحَمْدُ وهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَديرٌ. And [by] the promised Day. To Him belongs the Kingdom, and all praise is due to Him, and He is Powerful over everything” (Tirmidhi).It is important to remember that any form of dua, be it reading the Holy Quran or reading Tasbeeh, is sufficient, as long as there is the intention to please Allah (SWT).
