I have an older version of Jammer (version 4) and I have the second latest version of BIAB (vs 2006, I beleive). Havent tried jamstix, looks like a useful tool now!
I couldn't imagine anyone actually just creating a song in any style and it be usable without editing except the jazz and swing styles and even then I probably would be to picky to use them without editing.
.. on the notion that use of these programs equates to cheating. After considering how LSD is used with MidiOut, where MIDI drives a 'generator' as an effect, I tried to see if a MIDI effect would drive an attached generator.
However, I have to say that this is something I think sad happening in the pro music area.
So, my first thought was to just pipe stuff from BiaB, Jammer, etc through MidiYoke ( MY) into FL. Could FL be re-channelizing incoming MIDI ? I wouldn't really use it for much else.

Could FL be responding to intial Bank/Prog Change msgs as opposed to just passing them through ?

Now, I don't have an issue if a single FL pattern captured and recorded all the channels being sent. It has served me well for backing tracks in cover tunes and a few of my own older tunes.
People using regurgitated acid loops, etc..has brought us to a place where musicians are acting more like producers than actual composers anymore.
I've never used Jammer, but I have used Bandinabox, which I think can be useful in generating ideas, getting some creativity flowing. Haven't really had many/any bugs though.
I have both Band-In-A-Box and Jammer. I almost forgot Bluegrass is pretty good but all styles need editing.

However, my experience has been that most of the styles in BIAB sounds like crap and the program has way too many features.

I personally like the output from Jammer better. Ideally, I'm looking to send auto MIDI data into FL for capture in a PR, though it would be nice to send from a PR to a MFX and back to another PR after processing for capture.
