A few hours after Chandrayaan-2's landing module Vikram touches down on the moon early Saturday, Rover 'Pragyan' will emerge from the lander and roll out onto the lunar surface.
The rover will move on 6 wheels traversing 300 to 400 metre distance on the lunar surface,

The six-wheeled moon rover can travel up to 500 metres and is solar-powered.
The limbs of 'Pragyan' will work independently to help the rover negotiate the lunar surface after it lands on the moon, Maity said.
