One of these most talked-about scenes in X-Men: Apocalypse is a pretty violent sequence involving Hugh Jackman's Wolverine brutally escaping from the mysterious facility run by Col. William Stryker where he's being kept, unknowingly assisting mutants like Jean Grey and Cyclops who've snuck onto the base in an effort to save their friends. Xavier admits it appears to be true, but Storm refuses to accept it, saying they can't cure them because there's nothing to cure. In some cases, it is this brute-like side of Logan that make it easy for him kill and harm without hesitation.Logan, as a soldier, wielded many firearms in battle, and therefore possesses skill in using them. Will then appears and impales X-24 on the forepart of a combine harvester with his car and then keeps shooting X-24 in the head with a shotgun before dying, allowing Logan and Laura to escape. Xavier offers Logan a deal – 48 hours to discover why Magneto is after him, in exchange to help uncover his forgotten past. Logan asks what's going on, and Bobby is frustrated to realize that his brother called the police. Logan and Victor are sent to be executed by a firing squad.They survived the execution and death sentence and, because of their unique regenerative healing abilities, both mutants are placed in a cell soon after.

The elderly couple who owns the barn offers him food and shelter. Callisto senses something's coming. He holds Wolverine in the air with his powers, and Logan tells him he doesn't know what he's dealing with. She shifts to Stryker, and then leaves. Worried that his greatest fear has come true, Xavier asks Logan what he has done. Some months prior to this, Hudson, at the assignment of the Prime Minister himself, was appointed head of Department H, a special superhuman resources project of the Canadian Ministry of Defence, whose facilities Logan broke into mere months ago and which will, ironically, be at least partially combined with the Weapon X Program within months more; however, despite speculation to the contrary, Hudson played no direct role in Logan's experiment.
