The film explores the the scientific, historical, biological and social aspects behind the female sex drive and female gaze. ZayVian, a teenager, guilty over the death of his twin brother, commits negative acts in order to gain the attention of his parents. The fact that Sir Michael Caine is in it, and 2, the fact that one of the cuts in this film, depicts a row of plastic pink flamingos - clearly a nod to the "Great" John Waters, though a John Waters satire it aint! On a trek to find the world's rarest tree, Dylan and his friends descend into harsh ravines and canyons. I saw they murdered this movie on tomatoes, which is silly, cause not terrible. Times change but that part of high school has not. He seeks absolution for the murder. This is one of those concepts that you have to try really hard to screw up because the potential is SO there to make something cute AND compelling.
Quite a strange movie this one, not quite sure what it was trying to achieve.
There is no excuse for this movie.
